A Smugglers Route
Danes Dyke on the Flamborough Headland was a favourite landing inlet for smugglers, with very steep banks the Dyke is well hidden by high trees and thick undergrowth no doubt the Revenue Office posted a person at this position as a look out for would be smugglers, then to raise the alarm.
