Foxglove

Found this vivacious plant growing just outside the garden of a near neigborough, Digitalis is a genus of 20 species of Foxgloves. The Foxglove is a native towestern and south western Europe, western and central Asia. and North West Africa. The Foxglove is a biennial plant which can be grown as an ornamental plant no doubt due to it's vivid flowers, which range in colour from purple to pink, white, and yellow, various purple tints through to various shadews of light grey and to purple white, they can also have various marks and spottings. They are used in the preperation of of the drugs called digoxin which is used in the Cardiac field of Medicine.
